Excerpt:
@joseph.jose was looking for an alternative for [Adobe reader](https://community.smc.org.in/t/topic/467/8).

suggestions were [Okular](https://tsdgeos.blogspot.com/2019/01/okular-pdf-signature-certificate.html), pdf-shuffler. @raju found [LiOS](https://community.smc.org.in/t/topic/467/10) useful in conversion.SMC’s OCR was also [mentioned](https://community.smc.org.in/t/topic/467/12).

as per @raju, the [issue](https://community.smc.org.in/t/topic/467/13) with NIC eOffice is the software requires Authentication by Adobe, where new versions of Adobe reader are not supported on Linux.
