Notes

Dictmaker is beta and in production

- Needs an admin interphase
- Scripting and publishing is possible
- But even a minor change is very complicated
- All we need is CRUD admin panel

- Chakra UI Admin panel in Vue is preferred
- One admin approve/reject form is good enough to begin with
- Authentication strategy: Basic Auth is good enough

Dictmaker database has a column to keep track of source - sabdatharavali, crowd-source

Olam.in

- The search is running in a 2009 engine (php)
- The same concepts are ported to dictmaker
- Search is much better
- But it is not being published because of the lack of admin panel
- Sabdatharavali xml is downloaded, and ready for publish

TR Pillai english - malayalam dictionary

- Alar is there authoritatively there for Kannada
- Olam is well used in the English-Malayalam section but that is not scholarly quality
- Anivar has mentioned an out of copyright dictionray of TR Pillai, which if digitized is a 2000 pages of English-Malayalam dictionary
- Physical copy
- Talking with Mahesh Mangalatt

Current Olam dictionary sources:  
1) Kailash about 5k  
2) Crowd-sourced about ten thousands  
3) From an unknown forum dump

Flutter app of Olam from Ajin not yet pushed to f-droid. Much better and therefore can try putting on f-droid.
